06.03.21 The 4th Practice for Developing a Mature and Responsible Approach to Commitment as You Wait

4. Develop ‘Partnership Thinking’ and ‘Shared Responsibility’

During this season of waiting, cultivate a mindset that values shared purpose, unity and cooperation above your individual preferences. Learn to consider another person’s perspective and practise making decisions that promote harmony rather than personal comfort. See what Philippians 2:4 says (NKJV): 4Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of other.

‘Partnership thinking’ prepares you for a relationship where cooperation is natural and decisions are made with mutual respect and shared responsibility. Training your mind to prioritise unity strengthens your ability to sustain commitment and build a stable and peaceful marital foundation.
