Introducing Commitment

Many people invest their efforts in romance and wedding preparations, yet overlook the fact that marriage is maintained through daily commitment expressed in reliability, endurance and responsibility. Without commitment, affection lacks stability and the relationship struggles to withstand pressure arising from the various demands of life.

In this chapter, I will share a personal reflection on how commitment has worked in our marriage. Drawing from Monica and Kenneth's narrative and Jacob and Rachel's biblical account, we will provide guidance on evaluating a prospective partner's approach to commitment and offer direction on how to cultivate commitment as you wait.
