07.04.21 The 5th Practice for Developing a Nurturing Behaviour as You Wait Proactively Offer Care and Support

5. Proactively Offer Care and Support

Learn to notice the needs of others and respond with care and practical support. Do not wait to be asked. Pay attention to situations where assistance or presence may be needed. Taking initiative communicates genuine concern and strengthens confidence and dependability in your relationships.

Offer support in ways that are appropriate and meaningful. This may be through listening, practical help or kind reassurance. Consider the situation carefully and respond with sensitivity and understanding. Scripture encourages us to be intentionally concerned for others. Philippians 2:4 says (NKJV): “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others”, as such attentiveness strengthens trust, deepens connection and contributes to relationships characterised by reliability, compassion and mutual respect.
