10.03.25 The 5th Practice for Developing Financial Readiness as You Wait
5. Align Financial Choices with Biblical and Personal Values
In your preparation period, align financial decisions with your purpose, integrity and clearly defined values. Commit yourself to choices that support long-term direction rather than short term pleasures. Let your spending decisions reflect responsibility and discernment so that your financial conduct becomes consistent with the standards you claim to uphold.
Develop the discipline to make financial choices that protect dignity, preserve order and strengthen progress, even when shortcuts appear convenient. Learn to say ‘no’ to habits that undermine restraint, and ‘yes’ to decisions that build stability. Your financial life will reflect direction, order and sustained discipline. Be faithful with your tithes, offerings and support for God's work. Be ready to honour Him with your wealth and the first fruits of your increase (Proverbs 3:9).
