10.02.22 The 4th Practice for Developing Personal Responsibility and Accountability
4. Seek Support with Humility and Cooperation
In your preparation period, be intentional about requesting support when necessary instead of pretending that you can manage everything alone. Asking for appropriate, relevant and permissible assistance from peers is not an indication of failure but rather a sign of wisdom, as it prevents delays and protects the quality of what you deliver. Seeking counsel from appropriate advisers increases the likelihood of well-considered and successful plans (Proverbs 15:22).
Build the practice of working with others, receiving guidance and cooperating when tasks require joint input. This strengthens your ability to work in teams and coordinate effectively, rather than insisting on unnecessary independence, as this could isolate you from necessary support.
