10.03.23 The 3rd Practice for Developing Financial Readiness as You Wait
3. Grow in Financial Understanding
During this season of waiting, increase your financial knowledge with humility and initiative. Attend relevant trainings, read widely, seek counsel and apply practical tools that strengthen your financial competence through application and improvement. Develop habits that support sound judgement and long-term progress, including the ability to evaluate opportunities wisely, identify avoidable financial traps and make decisions that preserve stability. Proverbs 4:7 advises that wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, pursue understanding with diligence.
Assess your financial strengths and weaknesses objectively and take responsibility for areas that require change. Be ready to be corrected. Avoid delaying your improvement as that can be costly. Rather, pursue steady learning. That way, when financial discussions become necessary in a relationship, you do not rely on guesswork but on practical understanding and responsible judgement.
