My Job as Commercial Manager of an Airline

A Personal Experience

I was headhunted to help establish a commercial department for an airline from scratch. Being an economist by training, I knew nothing about aviation; and believe me, aviation is a very unique industry. So, one of the things I did was to humbly learn from the employees that I had found. Since I had actually got this job by a miracle, I knew that God was on my side. The airline prospered to the point that in the first year of my employment, their passenger traffic more than doubled.
