04.04.18 The 14th Key for Adding Value to Your Husband's Life
14. Pray for your Husband
When we look at Michal’s story, there is no evidence in the bible to show that she was a prayerful let alone god-fearing woman. This is further shown by the comments she made after observing David dance before the ark. She was so disinterested that, rather than participate in welcoming the ark back, she spitefully watched from a distance. Therefore, I want to infer that she was not involved in praying for her husband.
On my part, I do not have a specific incident that I can share where I prayed for my husband more than usual since he has always been one of the top items on my prayer list.
A value-adding wife prays for her husband. Prayer adds value to his life by inviting divine intervention into his affairs to work in his favour. Praying for your husband shows that he is your priority, Secondly, it conveys the message that you are interested in his progress.
Therefore, pray for your husband regularly. Thank God for giving him to you as a gift since there are many women out there who are seeking for someone to marry them and are yet to get one. Pray that your marriage grows stronger each day for God’s glory. Commit all your husband’s endeavours to God and declare a blessing on everything he does (Deuteronomy 28:3-13). Protect your husband from any form of attack (Luke 10:19).
