04.04.15 The 11th Key for Adding Value to Your Husband's Life
11. Promote Physical Wellness
While the bible is silent about Michal’s contribution towards David’s physical strength, the man was definitely fit. For instance, in Psalm 18:29, David narrates how he could climb over walls and run against troops. There are many other portions of scripture that attest to his physical fitness.
On my part, if I may share a dietary example, my husband and I supplement our food with organics such as Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses and Moringa powder. I also take dietary Magnesium, Vitamin C and Iodine almost daily in addition to hydrating with water. If interested, I invite you to read about those supplements on the internet and you may be pleasantly surprised. We also use sea salt and avoid drinking tap water.
A value-adding wife minds the physical wellness of her husband as one of her top priorities. Encouraging your husband to be physically healthy shows how you value his wellness, which sends a message that you would want him to live long, happy and healthy as he ‘does life with you’. In addition, researchers assert that physical health can enhance one’s self-worth or value.
Therefore, work at engendering a healthy lifestyle for your husband (and of course yourself as well as other family members). Be ready to prepare balanced diets including suitable health supplements. However, avoid being a fanatic since anything done in high proportions may do more harm than good.
Exercise regimens vary with a person’s age. Mine is very simple. Many women attend the same fitness programs with their husbands, if possible, for enjoyment and accountability.
