04.05.02 My Personal Experience as a Value-Adding Mother
HOW MY CHILDREN LEARNT TO MANAGE THEIR TIME
A Personal Experience
One of the experiences I could share here is how I added value to my children’s lives by mentoring them to manage their time. At four or five years old, they could already make and manage their own personal timetables. On a normal weekday for example, the schedule would start with waking up followed by prayer, early morning bath, depart for school, return from school, lunch, afternoon nap, personal study or homework, playing outside, evening bath, watching cartoons, dinner, family prayer altar then ending with bedtime. Each child’s timetable was stuck on the wall by her bed and supported by an alarm clock on her bedside.
Although our children are adults now, I am sure that knowing how to manage their time has contributed greatly to the career success that they enjoy currently.
