08.05.01 Introducing Decision-Making

Introducing Decision-Making

God requires us to make good decisions. In fact, Proverbs 4:26 says (EASY): Decide carefully where you are going in life. Then you will be on a good, safe path. Relationships are daily shaped by the choices a person makes. How individuals assess situations, set priorities and respond with discernment influences the direction, stability and resilience of a courtship and marriage relationship. Consistent decision-making with clarity and responsibility fosters an environment where trust and confidence can grow.

In this chapter, I will briefly discuss how decision-making works in our marriage. Using the fictitious story of Sheila and Fredrick as well as the biblical account of Abraham and Sarah, we will provide guidance on evaluating a prospective partner’s decision-making capability; and how to develop that kind of ability as you wait.
