08.01.23 The 4th Practice for Developing Intellectual Maturity as You Wait Practise Reflective Thinking

4. Practise Reflective Thinking

Set aside time to think about your relationship with honesty and objectivity. Ask what is working well and what concerns continue to reappear. Reflection allows you to separate emotional reactions from observable evidence and keeps your thinking grounded. The psalmist demonstrates this discipline when he writes, “I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies” (Psalm 119:59). Through reflection you begin to recognise lessons hidden within everyday experiences. Such insights deepen understanding and reveal areas where personal growth is needed.
