08.02.22 The 4th Practice for Developing a Growth Mindset in Daily Relationship Life as You Wait Practise Regular Reflection for Continuous Growth
4. Practise Regular Reflection for Continuous Growth
Growth rarely occurs by accident; it usually follows honest reflection. Set aside moments to consider how you have grown and where further attention is needed. This reflection does not require formal routines, but it should be sincere and thoughtful. Review your attitudes, responses and patterns within the relationship. Notice areas where improvement has taken place and identify situations that still require patience or discipline. The psalmist models this discipline of reflection when he says, “I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies” (Psalm 119:59). Regular reflection keeps personal development active rather than occasional and strengthens self-awareness.
