05.01.T01-RS — Reflection Scorecard: What Do These Stories Teach Me About Negative Gossip?
Reflecting on the Human Impact of Negative Gossip
This chapter introduces five foundational stories that shape the rest of the guide: the author's personal experience with a defamatory rumour, the story of Lulu and JuaLink Media Agency, Nehemiah's encounters with Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem, Miriam and Aaron's gossip against Moses, and Aaron's involvement in the golden calf incident. Rather than focusing on the causes, signs or consequences of gossip (which are explored in later chapters), this tool focuses on the experiences, decisions and lessons emerging from these stories.
As you reflect, place yourself in the position of the various people involved and consider how you would have responded.
