Introducing the Feature Stories on Negative Gossip

We begin this book with five stories that will form the basis of our discussion on this important topic of defeating negative gossip at a personal level or in the workplace, or any other organisation or entity.

The first narrative is a true story, which relates the defamatory rumour that was hatched against our consultancy firm in general and me in particular; and how we went through that traumatic experience. Then we shall read the fictitious story on an organisation called JuaLink Media Agency, where we see a chronic gossipmonger named Lulu and her prayer partners. Thereafter, we turn to three bible stories where we briefly explore the gossip-encounters of Nehemiah; a gossip conversation between Miriam and Aaron; and, the role that negative gossip played in the moulding of the golden calf by Aaron.

Our discussions in later chapters includes other characters such as Absalom, King David, Joseph’s brothers and others.
