05.01.14 Part 12 of How Negative Gossip Almost Took My Life

The Lady that Became Our Angel

I do vividly recall the day I visited a friend of mine after deciding that we should resume marketing our consultancy firm. She had long since been promoted to head a big agency. We were very excited to see each other since of course, I had been off radar for over three years. As we talked, she mentioned that God had given her the calling of ‘Esther’ and proceeded to elaborate what all that meant. In the process of doing so, she looked at me straight in the eye and said “Joy, if you ever get stuck and need my assistance, I want you to know that I will always be there to help you”, then made a list of ways that she envisaged I could need help. That was when I burst into tears and ranto her bathroom, and cried and cried. She got so concerned to the extent that when I eventually composed myself, she pestered me to tell her my story in detail without hiding anything, which I did. I could tell that she was terribly disturbed by the way we had been treated, promising to follow it all up. The details of how she did that is beyond the scope of this book, but let it suffice to say that we eventually got our vindication and our business resumed. Yet again, God had raised a woman as an angel for us, to let us know that He cared.
