05.01.11 Part 9 of How Negative Gossip Almost Took My Life
An Attempt to Find Vindication Falls Through
Whilst all that was happening, there was one official who I thought could vindicate us since he was very familiar with how we worked and our standard of ethics and integrity. However, I had tried to book an appointment to meet him for a whole year with no breakthrough. So, by the time I got that window, not only was I terribly ill but one of my sisters had passed away that morning. Under normal circumstances, I would have postponed the appointment but we needed urgent help and hoped that by appealing to that person, he would make a decision that would put an end to the horrible nightmare we were going through. However, when I walked into the official’s office, he said point blank that he would not make any comments about the issue but to just listen. So after offering me a seat, I explained my predicament, talking my heart out as he just looked on blankly, unmoved. When I told him that I had been framed, he responded that the world was not fair since even prisons had innocent victims on death row waiting to be hanged. That was when it dawned on me that my cry for assistance had fallen on hard concrete. So I thanked him for his time and walked out of his office feeling worse than before. Overwhelmed with dire grief of a sister whose funeral I was unable to attend, I felt so ill that I wished I could escape from my body. We had no finances to attend her funeral even if I had been fit to travel, which I wasn’t.
