05.01.10 Part 8 of How Negative Gossip Almost Took My Life
My Health Goes Under as Doors Start to Close
Believe it or not, what followed was not good to say the least. Much as I will not disclose the details of the rumour, let it suffice to say that the defamation was so intense that it resulted in unspeakable damage to our firm as the rumour spread from place to place.
I remember being incredibly grieved as organisations started closing their doors; including those at the follow-up stage of our service improvement model, a free service that had taken a lot of our sacrifice to render. Sooner than later, my health buckled under the stress. I was diagnosed with several chronic ailments and was gravely ill for almost three years. Our financial resources went to a record call as we liquated some of our fixed assets to cater for my medical bills; keep our children in school and foot other expenses to stay afloat.
