05.01.17 Part 1 of Gossip at JuaLink Media Agency
Neema meets Lulu at JuaLink Media
It all started after Neema joined JuaLink as a publicity assistant, where she landed on a fellow church member, Lulu. Apparently, not only was Lulu the publicity officer, but the head of JuaLink’s lunch hour fellowship whose meetings would be held daily without fail. Neema vividly remembered the day that Lulu had brought her twins for dedication at church; and could not thank God enough for finding the young mother at the Agency. “That will make my probation so easy”, the young graduate had thought. So, from the word go, Neema had enlisted ‘Sister Lulu’ as the closest of ‘work-friends’; hoping for a warm, fulfilling and character-building relationship.
However, during the weeks that followed, Neema had made some jaw-dropping discoveries about ‘the sister and newly-found friend’. Apparently, Lulu had been sneaked into the Agency through the ‘back door’, courtesy of her brother, Njia, the managing director of the Agency. As if that was not enough, and despite having a basic diploma in public relations, Lulu was fervently fantasising about becoming the publicity manager in the shortest time possible, a position which required a degree. Neema, on the other hand, albeit supervised by Lulu, was a graduate in Mass Communication and therefore a better fit for the managerial position.
Lulu was reporting to the director of business development, Eliya, a handsome bachelor who she fancied without hiding it. As a matter of fact, Neema had quickly noticed that Lulu would do whatever was in her power to stop any female from getting near, let alone as much as hover around the strikingly good-looking hunk of a man. At least, not if she could help it.
