03.07.05 The 3rd Organisational Approach for Curbing Corruption
3. Promote quality decision-making at top level
Members of Boards, Parliaments and other governing bodies should know that some propositions could be fueled by corrupt influencers. Forthwith, members should be ready to politely but fearlessly challenge or question the direction that entities are taking or proposing to take, in case they (members) are not convinced that the proposed interventions will work. Those bodies should only approve decisions that will benefit the entities not just in the short, but in the medium and long term. Members of those bodies should never be ‘Yes’ people otherwise they (members) could derail an entire entity when they know full-well that the entity is heading down the drain.
