03.03.10 The 8th Snare that Causes Some Seemingly God-Fearing People to Succumb to Corruption
8. Corrupt Company
Corrupt mentors, workmates and friends can contaminate a person, as was the case with Daudi. At BORA Development Corporation, you may recall how the young Engineer opened up to a corrupted mentor and first ever boss, Zakayo; and how the latter ended up polluting the then fresh and innocent graduate.
Corrupt company can put you in the armpits of such people, so that you scheme together; making you part and parcel of a notorious network.
We see a similar situation in Micah 7:3 where a prince, a judge and a great man were lumped together in corrupt schemes. It reads (NKJV): 3…The prince asks for gifts, The judge seeks abribe, And the greatman utters his evil desire; So they scheme together. When you read further, you find that God was so displeased with the operations of their network that He planned to punish the culprits.
So how about you? Are you associating with corrupt mentors, workmates or friends? 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns against such company. It reads (NKJV): Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits.
